Biography
Bob Alban is a seasoned insurance industry entrepreneur and advisor, bringing deep expertise in risk-based capital models, reinsurance, insurance tax and accounting, and the broader insurance product and distribution landscape. As a founding investor partner at R Huen & Co. LLC, Bob offers a strategic perspective shaped by decades of leadership in financial services and regulatory matters, including specialized knowledge of Federal Home Loan Bank (“FHLB”) programs.
Experience
Bob is the Principal of Montshire Advisors, a firm he co-founded in 2011. There, he brokers reinsurance deals, advises insurers on product development, distribution strategies, and FHLB participation, and represents investment interests within the U.S. insurance industry. His extensive experience in business development and mergers & acquisitions brings added strategic value to the firm.
He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from Georgetown University. Bob also maintains Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and is a registered representative of Castle Hill Capital Partners Inc., a Broker-Dealer registered with the SEC and a member of FINRA, NFA, and SIPC.
